Things you don't fully appreciate until they are gone...

Water. Luke. I almost don't feel like I need to say much more. :)

This lovely picture shows some of the 75 meters of water pipe that had to be dug out of our well and pulled to the surface to find any one of the many very wrong and very expensive reasons why we ran out of water. Yes, we ran out of water. As in no drinking water, washing water, toilet water... you get the picture.

Because of Luke's perseverance we only had absolutely no running water for a little over 24 hours. Luckily we had a few barrels of water that we keep filled, but we REALLY rationed it because we didn't know how long (we were thinking possibly weeks) until the water might run again.

This is our lovely outdoor potty- the tarp actually belongs on the other side to give a little shelter from seeing eyes. Luckily we only needed it for about 24 hours. Luke was able to find and fix several holes in our water pipe by that time and then everything worked again!

Praise the Lord for water- please pray as we are having some trouble getting some of the hot water heaters working again... not sure why.
