Zanzibar and other News
Dear Friends,
You may have noticed that I have changed my picture provider. I was finding some problems with the other one. The main difference is that you can view the pictures by month in the new system and the folders have decided to arrange themselves in alphabetical order- my apologies!
The six of us single women at the Farm returned last night from our week getaway to Zanzibar.
It was wonderful!
We spent five days on the beach soaking up the sun, snorkeling, searching tide pools, going on a spice tour (a popular thing to do in Zanzibar where they grow many spices), EATING SEAFOOD, and swimming with dolphins… literally! We then spent two days in Stone Town on the other side of the island. Shannon, Shannon, and I J spent one day on the back of Vespas touring the northernmost point of the island.
On Easter some of us got up and had our own sunrise service on the beach. It was such a wonderful physical reminder of Christ's rising and our hope restored- I hope you had such a reminder on your Easter!
Once we swap photos I'll post some for you along with more details. However, we had to cancel our internet at the Farm because it was way too expensive for us to pay for what we are getting, so we'll all be relying on our local internet cafes. Somewhat disappointing, but God is sovereign.
Speaking of changes, I would like you to know that Action Zambia and Missionary Ventures International (MVI) ( www.missionaryventures.com) are in the process of talks about a partnership. Susan and I are looking to be doing some timesharing between Sinazongwe (near Lake Kariba which is about 6 hours south of Lusaka- very much in the bush J) and Lusaka this fall. The details are still being arranged, but we all really excited about the possibility of doing medical ministry down south. There is a doctor who can cover us without licenses (something we have not found here in Lusaka and thus cannot practice medicine) and the MVI folks have already begun providing some limited medical assistance in accordance with their great need and the general lack of medical care down south.
MVI has been praying for medical personnel to come alongside them so that they can use these skills to help the churches to spread the gospel and we are really looking forward to complying. Please feel free to check out MVI online and pray as we continue down this path.
I think that's about all for now. I'll work on getting you more personal information about this.
In Christ's love and grace,
Stephanie Iseko
P.S. I couldn't remember if I had mentioned before that I'll be in Washington for a few weeks in September and October and my sister and brother-in-law are having their first baby! It won't technically be a furlough, but I do plan to attend Highlands Community Church and would love to catch up with you there! More details to come…

Thanks for the update; glad to hear that God may be opening another door for your ministry.
Did I read correctly that Dave and Jenica are expecting a baby??
