The exam
Well guys,
I'm really not sure what to tell you. :) In all fairness I think it could go either way. After a week and a half of diligent studying (this following the three weeks I spent studying for the North American Registered Midwives examination last February) there just seems to be more that I didn't study. It's funny, Susie and I came out of the exam and I said I was surprised that I didn't feel as drained after three non-stop hours of writing like I thought I would. It was like all that good and important stuff that I studied... is still in my head. Hmmm... Kind of like 75% of what really matters in midwifery didn't get asked, 25% of what I studied was touched on and the things I didn't deem as important they asked all sorts of questions on. Like where blood supply to the bladder comes from or which sinus does some blood vessel (or was it an artery??) in the brain empty into... Right. The real gem was Susie got asked: (fill in the blank) "What is a man called who has two wives?"
But, the essays went well and with some deductive guesswork I'd say the first part I might have gotten a good 75% on... maybe. :) Guess we'll see. Thanks to all of you who have written- it's true that God has a plan and He's working it out- even now. Whether we pass or not is not the real issue here. God doesn't need us to pass a test to be His children. And, He's called us to be His children here. So, here we are- do what You will, Lord.
December is nearly upon us and Susie and I will go ahead with our planning out of classes and choosing of churches. In about 6-8 weeks we should get the results from our exams and I will let you know how we do. In the meantime, I always treasure your prayers and encouragements. Please pray with us as we are in the beginning stages with medical ministry here with Action Zambia. Also as Susie prepares to purchase a vehicle or medical use- please pray that we will find a good and reliable vehicle.
I hear many of you have been experiencing ice and snow- a little early, isn't it? Please be safe and enjoy this Christmas as we focus on the author and perfector of our faith (isn't He?). :)
