Christmas
After spending two weeks shopping and running errands pell mell in Lusaka, Susie, Mr. Motorcycle, and I headed down to Sinazongwe for some quiet holidays.
We arrived on the 22nd of December and starting cooking and baking. We also read my family's Christmas Story (actually, it's Ruth Bell Graham's Christmas Story) that we've read every year since before I was born.
We had a great dinner Christmas Eve.
And began Christmas morning right- with stockings (made out of medical stockinette),
with Susie's family's traditional simikucha and my family's traditional oyster stew,
and, of course, with presents.
Christmas day we spent on a boat with some friends of ours. We had a lovely lunch and got ABSOLUTELY drenched on the way back in. :) But, we had fun.
