Waiting room
Some of Mr. Motorcycle's supporters came up with a neat idea. They sent a package with some building blocks, stuffed animals, and a little plastic doctor's set for the kids in our 'waiting room.' We were a little skeptical about how it would work- would the toys walk away?, would they be shared?, would this cause problems? But, so far whenever we have put the toys out the kids have played nicely together. Of course, we wash them well afterwards, but they are just so cute!
The only hitch in the program was when one of the children picked up this little doll and the kids burst into hysterics. Fanwell said it's because sometimes the witch doctors use little dolls or Barbie-like dolls in their practices! We quickly took away the doll and solved that problem. Who knew?
You may not be able to tell from the photos, but they were having a great time... until a white person came around! ;)
