Results of the clinic shower
Wow!
Susan and I were blown away by the generosity of all you folks! We received everything that was on our wish list (either in products or in cash), plus being able to purchase a heating element for our sterilizer so that we can use sterile instruments! Here are some pictures of what we got and how we've been able to use these things:
My arrival in Sinazongwe with four suitcases loaded to the brim with donations and a few other things!
Our students and their backpacks, watches, stethoscopes:
Susie teaching with the whiteboard:
Steph blowing up the air mat (that we didn't even ask for!) for her patients to lay on for exams at the mobile clinics:
Our heating element is on the bottom- the sterilizer (on top) won't work without it- we also got plenty of gas to keep it going all year!:
Seriously, how cool is that?:
We were even able to have Susie's sister bring stuff with her in January- including our stools with backs! What a wonderful change from what we've been sitting on all day!:
Susie and Fanwell weighing a baby in the new scale:
You raised so much money that Susie and I were able to afford a new microscope that we are so excited to be using to find things like Malaria, Tuberculosis, and Giardia!:
