Changing our lightbulb
Shannon and my lightbulb has been out for about 6 weeks now. We used to joke about how it didn't give off much light. Now it doesn't give off any and we kind of miss it. Gets pretty dark in our room. We kept putting off changing the lightbulb because it is at the very top point of our hut and we don't have a free-standing ladder. Apparently last time Susie and Mari had Blake climb one of the beds to change it. Unfortunately he is no longer here...
Being the self-sufficient, University-graduated women that we are we tried the bed thing, but our beds weren't sturdy enough (they kept swaying). So then we piled our dresser on top of the bed frame, with a chair on top of that. Don't worry mom, I didn't climb it... Shannon did :). Hey, she's a whole inch taller and that actually mattered in this instance. ...But not enough. There were screws that then bolted the light cover to the rest of the fixture but we weren't tall enough to reach it. I think we've given up. Maybe we should go find some lamps...

Dear Stephanie,
What other things has Shannon done that she hasn't shared with her getting-greyer-haired mom?! :-)
